7, 2005 Agnes M. Harrington, 85, of Syracuse, died on Monday at Birchwood
Nursing Home. She retired after 34 years with the Syracuse Police Department
and was a police officer for 16 years. She was the recipient of various
meritorious service awards including two PBA Valor awards, WTVH and Gold
Badge awards. She was a communicant of St. Vincent's Church and a member of
the Syracuse Police Benevolent Association and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Ms. Harrington is survived by a sister, Beatrice V. Smith of Lyncourt; a
brother, John J. Harrington of Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson
Funeral Home, 3111 James Street, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass in St. Vincent
dePaul Church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Church Building Fund.
