Boyd, 55, of Alpharetta, Ga., died Saturday. Born in Pike Road, Ala., he
lived in Syracuse 20 years before moving away in 1994. He graduated from
Syracuse University. He retired as a New York police sergeant and had been a
Fulton police officer. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.Survivors:
His wife, Annie L.; two daughters, Robin Boyd of Nashville and Jabrina Green
of Chicago; a son, Jonathan of Columbus, Ga.; a stepdaughter, Stacey Brown
of Fayetteville, N.C.; a stepson, Timothy Pierce of Jacksonville, Fla.;
seven grandchildren. Services and burial: Were in Waugh, Ala. Phillips-Riley
Funeral Home, Montgomery, Ala., has arrangements.
