Jim Driscoll, Sr.

James J. Driscoll, Sr., 80, of Syracuse, died Sunday at Van Duyn. He was born in Syracuse and was a life resident. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a signal man aboard the USS LST 545. James was a member of the Syracuse Police Dept., retiring in 1980 after 33 years of service as a Detective Sgt. He was a member of the Syracuse Police Benevolent Assoc. and the Syracuse Fraternal Order of Police. He was a recipient of the Syracuse Herald Journal medal in 1951. He was a Niagara Mohawk employee from 1980 to 1989. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Church.
