| Webmaster note: - My old partner, Tom Hurley, was himself a WWII veteran of Guadalcanal. Tom told me that Joe was an Army Ranger and participated in the assault of Pointe du Hoc in the Normandy Invasion. After the cliffs above Omaha Beach were taken, only 90 of the original 225 Ranger were still alive and able to fight. I trust Joe had a joyous reunion with some of his old comrades that died for our country 64 years ago. |
