John B. Putnam II, 53, of 11
Apricot Lane, Liverpool, died Saturday. Born in Syracuse, he was a 1966
graduate of Bishop Ludden High School. He was an insurance appraiser for
Robert Plan Corp. He retired in 1988 after 20 years with the Syracuse Police
Department. He was a member of the Cavalry Club, served on the board of
directors and was chairman of the golf committee. Survivors: His wife, the
former Carrie Basile; two daughters, Christie J. and Jennifer M., both of
Buffalo; a son, John B. III of Raleigh, N.C.; three sisters, Doreen McLane
of Liverpool, Maripat Kline of Falls Church, Va., and Karen Vasile of
Auburn; three brothers, James of Liverpool, Thomas of Syracuse and Terrance
of Manlius; his parents, John B. Sr. and Helen of Onondaga Hill. Services:
8:15 a.m. Wednesday in Christ the King Church. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours, 5 to 8 p.m. today and Tuesday at Burns-Garfield Funeral Home,
