Herbert
"Bud" Rodgers, 79, of Fulton, died Friday after a brief illness. A
native of Johnson City, he had resided in the Fulton-Volney area most of his
life. Bud retired as a lieutenant with the Syracuse Police Department after
25 years. He previously worked for Litwak & Baker. Bud served in the U.S.
Navy during World War II. He was predeceased by his first wife, Frances Ives
Rodgers. Surviving are his beloved family: his wife, the former Dacie Chesbro
of Fulton; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Jill Rodgers of Windham, NH;
brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Donna Rodgers of FL; sister, Dawn
Rowlee of Fulton; stepchildren, Amy Schrader, Matthew Chesbro, April Carlson
and Elizabeth Chesbro; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and
nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will
be no calling hours. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons
