14, 2006 William E. Thomas, 73, of Brewerton, passed away Thursday. Bill was
a Korean War Army veteran. He retired from the Syracuse Police Department in
1978. He owned and operated The Thomas Speedway Inn in Brewerton for 15
years and enjoyed spending winters in Clearwater, FL. Survivors include his
wife of 43 years, Joan Thomas; two daughters, Patty Rosenbarker of
Brewerton, Terri (David) Yates of Cicero; a granddaughter, Nicole; a
grandson, Duncan; a brother, Carl (Jean) Thomas of Florida. Funeral services
will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Harter Funeral Home, 9525 S. Main St.,
Brewerton, with the Rev. Diane Wheatley officiating. Calling hours will be
held Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. prior to the service. Contributions may be
made the the American Heart Association, 5575 Thompson Rd., Syracuse, NY
