Milt White
(NYSP)
March
31, 2008
Milt was never
with our Department, but those of us assigned to CID frequently worked with
him. We recall his ready smile, his professional skill, and mourn his
passing.
It
is with great sadness that the family of Milton Arthur White, of Jordan,
announces his passing after a brief illness on March 31, 2008, at Crouse
Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he was the son of Edward and Gladys White.
Milton was employed by the NYS Police for 32 years and retired as a senior
investigator assigned to the North Syracuse station. He also owned and
operated a lawn maintenance business, C&M White Farm, for the past 22
years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding and spending time with
his family. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, a member of the
Knights of Columbus 207, Elbridge Rod & Gun Club, Weedsport Winter
Wanderers Snowmobile Club and the Association of former NY State Troopers.
Surviving are Milton's wife, Catherine Muldoon White; three daughters,
Heather Anne Wixson and her husband, Jon and their children, Ashley and
Connor, and Catherine Murphy White and Colleen Marie White, all of the
Jordan-Elbridge area. Also surviving are his mother, Gladys Blume White;
his brothers, Michael, Gary and his wife, Michelle, and Edward and his
wife, Kay; sisters, Jaqueline Rogers and Carolyn Dolan; as well as sisters
and brothers-in-law, Mary Anne and Steve Brooks, Joanne Calescibetta and
Jim Muldoon; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his
father, Edward White Sr.; a daughter, Lizabeth; and by his father- and
mother-in-law, Jack and Helen Muldoon. Calling hours will be 3 to 7 p.m.
Friday, April 4, at Langham Funeral Home. Family prayers will be held
Saturday, April 5, at 11 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at
11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Auburn. Private burial will be at the
convenience of the family. The family has requested memorials be made to
the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of CNY, 913 Old Liverpool Rd.,
Liverpool, NY 13088; St. Mary's Church, 15 Clark St., Auburn; or to the
Jordan Fire Dept., 1 N. Hamilton Street, Jordan, NY 13080 in memory of
